How do I buy an item?
Our very easy to navigate website is designed to give you the best possible shopping experience.
Before you make an order, you will need to browse or search for the item you are looking for. You can use the search box or the easy to navigate shop categories. We have hundreds of products listed for sale so if you are struggling to find what you are looking for please email email@example.com for help.
To see a product description, click on the item to view the relevant details. When you have made your choice please add the products you would like to your basket.

I forgot to add items to my order, can you add them?
Due to the speed of our service, we cannot always add items to an order if your order has already been processed. However, if you contact our Customer Service Team (01628620703) within 24 hours of placing your order, if your order has not yet been processed they may be able to add items to your order for you and waive the postage charge.
I ordered the wrong product or an item was not as I expected, can I exchange/return?
We currently issue a 14 day no quibble return policy from the date that you receive your order, provided that the goods are returned in a saleable condition with any original packaging. This is in line with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
If you are unhappy with your goods in any way, you can return them for a full refund, providing they are in a saleable condition with any original packaging, within 14 days of receipt.
Fabrics, trims, and yarns cannot be returned once they have been used or cut into so please check for any faults or decide if you wish to keep the item or not before cutting into or starting to use the items.

Can I change my address once my order’s gone through?
Unfortunately, this is not usually possible due to the speed of our service, but please call our Customer Service Team on 01628 620703 who will do their best to help.
Can I use a different delivery address to my billing address?
Yes, please just add these details at checkout.
Can I cancel my order?
Due to the speed of our service it is not usually possible to cancel but please call our Customer Service Team on 01628 620703 and if your order has not yet been processed it may be possible to cancel. If your order has already been processed, please follow the usual returns procedure.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept payment via PayPal and all major credit/debit cards on our e-commerce site.
How do I know ordering with you is safe?
We take the security of personal customer information and payment details very seriously. All of your personal details can only be accessed by us so that we can process your orders. We promise to protect your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We collect information about you when you place your order so that we can process your orders quickly, efficiently and provide you with the best possible service. We do not make unsolicited telephone calls, send post or email you unless requested, nor do we pass your details on to any third parties without your written consent except any legal authority who may have the rights under UK law to demand information. At all times you have the opportunity to opt-out of future mailings.
How can I check an item is in stock?
90% of our products on our website are in stock all year round. Generally, the only reason we are ever out of stock of an item is if our suppliers are out of stock. If an item is out of stock it will not show as being available on our site or will be shown as unavailable. If you would like to check your item is in stock before placing an order please contact our Customer Service Team on 01628 620703 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be more than happy to help you.
What are your opening hours?
Orders can be made via the website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For customer service or any other department, we are available Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm UK time on 01628 620703.
I would rather talk to someone when I place my order. Can I do this?
At the moment we are unable to take payments over the phone, sorry. We are working on a solution to this. Please call 01628 620703 for assistance.
Do you have a catalogue?
With our ever-expanding stock and weekly offers, unfortunately, it is not possible for us to keep an up-to-date printed catalogue with all of our products and prices. Do you send out samples/shade cards?
Yes! If you are in any way unsure we always advise customers to order a sample first for a personal evaluation of suitability. Phone our team on 01628 620703 to order samples. It is limited to 3 samples per customer per order.
Please note: Samples are available at Samantha Claridge Studio (Lakemill Investments Ltd) discretion are non-returnable and non-refundable
I’ve ordered for example 5 metres of fabric, will this be sent in one piece?
Yes! All our fabrics cut off the roll will always be sent out in one length wherever possible. Please note: if you are ordering a roll of fabric or very large quantities these may possibly contain joins.
If you are purchasing end of roll pieces or remnants, these come in the sizes stated and therefore cannot be joined into one piece!
Will my fabric come rolled or folded?
All of our fabrics will be sent folded unless you are ordering large quantities which may come supplied on a roll.
Will my fabric all be from one dye lot?
We only ever fulfill an order for fabric from one dye lot off the same roll. Please ensure you order enough to complete your project in one order as we cannot guarantee we will have the same dye lot on your second purchase.
Are your fabrics pre-shrunk?
Unless otherwise stated you should assume that fabrics are not pre-shrunk and treat them prior to use accordingly.
If I order fabric now will it be available in 6 months time?
Our regular fabric lines are always available and kept in stock, however, if a supplier discontinues a particular line we cannot guarantee that we will be able to supply the fabric for you and it may be taken off the website. We also cannot guarantee that the fabric would be from the same batch, so colour or texture may vary.
Our clearance or designer fabrics which come in limited quantities will only be available whilst stocks last.
What is the scale of your images?
Some of our fabrics are photographed with a ruler to show scale in the images to help you in choosing your fabrics. If in doubt, please send for samples.
